After 29 years of service, on 15 January it was time to say a fond farewell to our old roller.
The roller had been with us since 1992 and been used by many groundmen over that time.
But by the end of last summer fumes were belching out and on the last weekend of the season the starter motor failed with a display of smoke and flames. It was time to think about a replacement.
The roller has gone to a new home in Maidenhead where it will be lovingly restored and take on a new lease of life.
