The club held an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 28 October. Members agreed to two proposals from the club Committee: to transfer the selection of captains and vice-captains from the business of the AGM to a Selection Committee, and to extend voting rights at future General Meetings to include parents or guardians of colts players.
Senior Awards Presentation
Following the EGM, the senior awards presentation was held. The winners were:
First XI: Batting – Aamir Rehman, Bowling – Josh Field, Captain’s award – Fahim Khan
Second XI: Batting – Raja Waheed, Bowling – Muhammad Farooq Jhanghir, Captain’s award – Abu Hussain
Sunday XI: Batting – Mike Pritchard, Bowling – Ethan Duckworth, Captain’s award – Anthony Embery.
The shield for top run scorer was awarded to Dale Barton (786 runs) and top wicket taker went to Josh Field (25 wickets).
Medals were presented to Peter Duckworth (two centuries, 103 no and 103), Dale Barton (two centuries, 101 and 100 retired), Josh Duckworth (6-61), Ethan Duckworth (5-26) and Josh Field (5-32).
The Chairman presented Peter Webb with a bottle of wine in recognition of Peter scoring at Taplow home league matches on Saturdays throughout the season.
