The club AGM was held on Friday 14 October.
A new constitution was agreed, with one amendment. The new constitution updates the previous version, and is needed for the club to formally adopt the ECB Anti-Discrimination Code.
On the playing side, captains for 2023 are Rob Court (Firsts), Rizwan Butt (Seconds) and Dale Barton (Sundays). The captains will select their vice captains.
Duncan Price has stepped down as Colts Chairman. Drew Somerville was elected to take over, alongside his current Chairman of Cricket role, bringing together all cricketing activities. The Chairman expressed our grateful thanks to Duncan for his contribution and enthusiasm as the Colts Chairman. The rest of the Committee were re-elected en bloc. We are still looking for a volunteer to take on the role as Social Secretary.
Following the meeting, Chairman Andy Bond presented the Marriott Trophy to Gillian and Stephen Daglish. The shield is awarded to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the club. Andy expressed thanks to Gillian in her role as Treasurer for taking care of club finances and her work to secure grants that have been vital in keeping the club afloat, and to Stephen for work on ECB Clubmark matters in order to retain the club accreditation.
