1992 might be seen as an average kind of season at Taplow. In the Chilterns League, the first XI finished 11th out of 18, while the second XI finished 8th.
Tony Hutchins and Tim Isaac both got hat tricks. Dave Holland scored more than 1,000 runs and Simon Wigmore got 500 runs and 50 wickets. There were some other good individual performances, reported in the Maidenhead Advertiser.
Richard Thorogood scored a 53-ball century against Penn and Tylers Green – in a match that ended in a draw at 8.40 pm.
Graham Kell took 6 wickets for 22 in his league debut against Kimble.
For the Second XI, Mike Bradley scored a century in a match against White Waltham.

The New Forest tour in June was a success, with matches against Brockenhurst, Cadnam, Lymington and Headley. The Maidenhead Advertiser carried reports and scorecards.
The club also fielded a third XI who played 12 matches, one of which ended in a tie.
There was some success. The Secretary’s Report, written by Gerry Bowyer, commented: Although we failed to win any cricketing prizes the Friday night darts team won the League Cup for the first time and our quiz team won the Old Pals Sports Quiz, also for the first time.
